If you have an event on your calendar that won’t happen, you might want to delete it to keep the calendar clutter-free. It’s easy to delete calendar events on an iPhone, and we’ll show you how.
In your iPhone’s Calendar app, you can delete one-time and recurring events, as we’ll explain below.
Delete Events from iPhone Calendar
To remove an event from your iPhone’s calendar, first launch the Calendar app.
In the Calendar app, tap the date your event is happening.
In the event list, tap the event you want to delete.
On the Event Details page that opens, tap Delete Event at the bottom.
A prompt will appear at the bottom of the iPhone screen. To delete your event, tap “Delete Event” in this prompt.
Warning: Make sure you really want to delete your event before pressing the option.
Once you have selected a recurring event to delete, you will see two options in the prompt. To delete the event from the selected date only, select Delete this event only. To remove all future events from the selected recurring event, choose Remove All Future Events from the menu.
And that’s all. Your iPhone has now removed the selected event from your calendar. You can add a new event or even create one from Mail on your iPhone. Enjoy!
