In the last year, the market for Chromebooks has grown by 75%
According to a Canalys research, Chromebook shipments grew by up to 75% over the previous year. Manufacturers are seeing better outcomes as they invest more in the product category. HP has led the growth in demand and subsequent shipments, with the California-based business capturing 36.4 percent of the market. HP sold over four million Chromebooks in the second quarter of 2021, an increase of 115.7 percent year over year. Lenovo (21 percent market share), Acer (15.7 percent market share), Dell, and Samsung are the other businesses dominating the Chromebook industry.
Chromebooks’ integration with the digital learning process is driving up demand
According to Brian Lynch, a Canalys Research Analyst, Chromebooks’ “They have secured a robust position across all end-user sectors in the business, and their growth streak has continued well beyond the height of the epidemic. Despite the fact that schools have begun to open in major regions like North America and Western Europe, shipments continue to rise as governments and education ecosystems plan for long-term integration of Chromebooks into digital learning processes.”
